BTEC Level 1 Health & Social Care

In a world where studies are continuously showing the importance of mental health within a society; the ever-improving standard of living; and the UK population is also drastically increasing, there is a growing demand for those that are knowledgeable within Health, Social & Care. This course provides students with an introduction to the Health & Social Care
sector, helping them to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required of those who work in the sector.

This course is targeted at anyone interested in health and social care, looking to begin to develop knowledge and understanding of the field.
This programme provides you with a route to the Level 2 in Health and Social Care, where you can then progress further.

Students should have a range of GCSEs at grade 1/2. Entry will be heavily dependent on a successful interview.

With further training or study, you can go into careers such as social work, nursing, residential care work, housing and the probation service. You may also consider areas such as Social Care, Early Years Education, and Childhood Studies.
