Introducing the SHC

Termly Challenge

Have you heard about the termly challenges that we’re hosting this year?

Each term there will be a new challenge that our students can enter to showcase their talents outside of their academic studies.

Challenge 3 is a 'Surprise Us!' challenge where students can submit any form of work that can be entered from today until 18th April.

There are a number of great prizes up for grabs!
If you're an SHC student, you can submit an entry for Challenge 2 today for a chance to win a pair of Beats X, Apple Earpods, a FitBit, a Beats Pill or a Canon Camera.

Our GCSE Maths class secured some fantastic results in the November re-sits. 83% of the students obtained a grade 4 or above, exceeding the national becnhmark, which currently stands at 26%.

Governors are delighted with these figures and it is hoped that similar results can be recreated in the summer examinations. The Maths & English  team are exceptionally pleased with this result, and are thankful to all teaching staff who allowed students out of their lessons to attend revison sessions, and encouraged them to do well.

This model of revision and preparation has proven to be invaluable in ensuring students perform well and will be used across the college for the coming examinations.
